Senior Instrumentation Engineer vacancy in Qatar
Position Purpose:
1. To carry out FEED, Detail Design and EPIC for Instrumentation Projects
2. To generate Project Documentation meeting Client standards
3. Liaise with Client for Weekly meetings and to obtain documentation approval
4. Liaise with Vendors and sub contractors to extract the required project documentation
5. Co-ordinate with Team members to generate the Project documentation
6. Initiate Material Request for all Project Items
7. Review the vendor offers and provide Technical Bid evaluation report.
8. Site coordination and support
Responsibilities:
– Understanding and finalizing the in-depth requirements and format of deliverables
– To Conduct Site Survey, Retrieve the existing documents and Submit the Site Survey reports
– Preparation of Technical Design Specification, Datasheets for Automation and Instrumentation materials.
– Preparation of Instrument Index, Signal Input Output List, Alarm and Trip schedule, Cause and Effect drawings, Instrument Loop drawings, Instrument Power and Utility Calculations, Cable schedule, Cable Block Diagrams, Material Take-Off list, Hookup drawings, Cabinet GA Drawings, Control Room Layouts, Instrument and Junction Box Location Layouts, Cable Tray / Trench Routing Layouts, Pneumatic Air Distribution Drawings
– Preparation of EPIC Scope of Work document.
– Support Tender Team for Technical document submission and Cost estimation.
– Preparation of Material Purchase request, Review of Vendor Drawings and Preparation of technical Bid Evaluation.
– Preparation, Review of Scada and PLC drawings
– Coordination with various sub-contractors/vendors for outsourced work
– Maintaining the complete record of project related documentation and correspondence, ensuring conformance to quality standards
– Conduct periodic project site visits required to complete the project.
– Coordinate with the QA/QC and HSE Engineers to ensure compliance to international engineering standards and identify health and safety risks
Experience requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation
Minimum 10+ Years Experience (5 Years in Qatar mandatory)
UPDA Certification required
