Core responsibilities
Present news bulletins or programs in an engaging, enthusiastic and informative manner
Read from a script or autocue, or improvise on-camera during live coverage
Respond positively and quickly to problems or changes during live
React to instructions given during live by the producer or director
Interview guests in the studio or on location and interact with the audience if required
Engage and contribute to the pre-production process including researching, scripting and editing
Commit to rehearsal schedules as a key element in the production process
Other Duties
To occasionally report from the field
Search and arrange guests for newscasts and programs
Perform additional duties and take on special projects as assigned
Skills
On air presenting
Excellent interviewing and writing skills
Demonstrated communication and organization
Good memory to recall facts and be able to improvise if something unplanned happens
Ability to develop multi-media production skills
Attention to detail and hard working
Knowledge
Fluency in English
Editing and shooting
Good knowledge of local and international current affairs, history and newsmakers
Some positions will require expertise in specific fields

Experience

Minimum 3 years of professional experience as news presenter
Experience in social media and digital platforms is an advantage
Education
Minimum Bachelor degree in journalism or in a related field
