We are looking for enthusiastic, persuasive Medical Representatives to promote and sell company medications to doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals. The Medical Representative’s responsibilities include persuading potential customers to purchase company medications, identifying prospective business opportunities for the company, and providing the relevant departments with customer feedback. You should also be able to attend company meetings and training sessions.
To be successful as a Medical Representative, you should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and build rapport with potential customers. Ultimately, an outstanding Medical Representative should be able to continually meet or exceed the company’s sales targets.
Responsibilities
Assess clients’ needs and present suitable promoted products
Present product information and deliver product samples
Communicate with and persuade targeted doctors to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis
Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and symposium circuits
Keep detailed records of all contacts
Manage budgets for catering, outside speakers, conferences, and hospitality
Work with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message
Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the area sales team or discuss future targets with the area sales manager.
Expected Duties for Medical Sales Representative
you’ll need to:
create awareness of and develop the brand you’re marketing
communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships
help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing, and campaigns
support the marketing manager in delivering agreed activities
source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or on the radio
work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts
write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns (with guidelines provided)
produce creative content, including videos and blog posts (relevant materials provided)
run social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement
organize and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions
source and secure sponsorship
liaise with designers and printers and organize photoshoots
arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
maintain and update customer databases
conduct market research, for example, using customer questionnaires and focus groups
develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Expected Duties for Medical Sales Representative
You are expected to possess:
Above3 years’ experience as a medical sales representative here in Qatar
Knowledge of MS Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent teamwork and networking skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Highly motivated and the target is driven with a proven track record in sales
Strong negotiation and sales skills
Familiarity with databases, statistics, product lines, and the latest medical issues
