We are looking for maternity cover teacher for Chemistry A level for an immediate start.
We require candidates who have experience of teaching A levels American curriculum.

Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Prepares daily lesson plan & activities that caters students’ needs
Ø Differentiate daily lesson plan as per the level of the students activating the sense of logic for integrated learning through problem solving and critical thinking.
Ø Instruct through lecture, inductive, deductive, analytic, problem solving and project methods.
Ø Review curriculum needs and execute for improvement.
Ø Establish and enforce rules for behaviour and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.
Ø Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Ø Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects such as English, mathematics, or social studies.
Ø Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
Ø Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these objectives to students.
Ø Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Ø Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Ø Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health.
Ø Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
Ø Assign lessons and discuss homework.
Ø Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
Ø Confer with parents or guardians, other subject teachers, social workers & pastorals to resolve students’ behavioural and academic problems.
Ø Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.
Ø Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools.
Ø Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.
Ø Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interest
Ø Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.
Ø Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
Ø Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, to prevent injury and damage.
Ø Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
Ø Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Ø Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from such activities.
Ø Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
Ø Increase educational knowledge and stay up to dates on new methods by joining professional organizations, attending continuing education courses, and attending regular training sessions for teachers.
