Energy and Infrastructure Advisor

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Qatar is currently searching for an enthusiastic and proactive “Energy and Infrastructure Advisor” who would mainly work with our Economy dept. [ Job Descriptions ]

As an Energy and Infrastructure Advisor, main purpose of the job is to be part of our Economy Dept. with special focus on Energy and Infrastructure field, with an aim to promote the expansion of Korean companies’ operations in Qatar

You will be responsible to;

–       Assist the department to reach out to the related Qatari governments and other public/private organizations

–       Seek to expand and maintain the networks with the related government/public/private entities

–       Keep pace with the economic issues pertinent to Korea-Qatar relations in an agile manner

–       Collect up to date information of on-going and up-coming projects and contracts to provide to Korean companies

–       Research the trend and environment of the industry by closely monitoring the relevant statements, briefings and publications

–       Analyze and Report such research on a regular basis

–       Provide administrative supports such as arranging meetings and organizing events hosted by the Embassy

–       Support visits of delegations by scheduling meetings, preparing briefing materials and organizing activities

–       Carry out other duties as assigned

[ Qualifications]

〇 Rightful Residence Permit in Qatar

〇 At Least Bachelor’s Degree in the Economics, Engineering or other relevant fields

〇 More than 5 years of experience in the related industry, including minimum 3 years in Qatar

〇 Proficient knowledge of Energy and Infrastructure industry

〇 Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking/writing)

〇 Excellent IT skills with computer literacy with Microsoft Office

〇 Outstanding communication and collaboration skills

〇 Proactive attitude and strong work ethics

[ Remuneration / Contract Terms ]

〇 Salary : Negotiable depending on candidate’s qualifications and experiences

〇 Starting Date: Immediately

〇 Duration of Contract: One year

–       Can be extended on a yearly basis depending on the performance

–       First year’s contract is subject to the initial probation period of three month

〇 Type of Employment : Full-time

〇 Working Hours : 35 hours/week, from Sunday to Thursday
