Factory Manager—Wood Services
Location: Industrial Area, Doha, Qatar
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Factory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our wood services manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, managing factory staff and labours, and optimizing workflow processes in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and coordinate all factory activities, including cutting, assembling, finishing, and packaging of wood products.
· Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
· Implement production schedules and manage workflow to improve productivity.
· Monitor raw material usage and inventory for timely material supply.
· Lead and motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and workers.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control systems.
· Monitor equipment and machinery performance; coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
· Maintain documentation and production reports; analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with design, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience (5+ years) in factory or production management, preferably in wood manufacturing or a related industry.
* Strong knowledge of woodworking processes, machinery, and production planning.
* Ability to read technical drawings and translate them into production plans.
* Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software (e.g., ERP systems).
* Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Wood Technology, or related field preferred.
