I & C Construction Engineer

DOPET is currently seeking a qualified Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Construction Engineer to supervise and coordinate I&C installation works on EPC Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in field instrumentation, control systems, and construction execution in both onshore and offshore environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the installation, calibration, loop testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems
Supervise site construction activities such as cable laying, tray installation, instrument hook-up, impulse tubing, junction box connections, etc.
Review I&C drawings, datasheets, hook-up diagrams, and loop diagrams for construction execution
Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors to ensure safe and timely completion of site works
Monitor and report daily progress against the project plan
Support troubleshooting of instrumentation during loop checks and pre-commissioning
Ensure compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and international standards (IEC, ISA, API, ATEX)
Prepare and maintain construction documentation including redlines, site reports, test reports, and punch lists
Interface with DCS, ESD, PLC, and SCADA vendors during installation and FAT/SAT activities

🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation & Control / Electronics / Electrical Engineering
Minimum 10years of experience in I&C construction, with 85 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects (onshore/offshore)
Hands-on experience with field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level), control panels, transmitters, and analyzers
Familiarity with hazardous area installations (Ex-rated devices, ATEX/IECEx compliance)
Good understanding of control system architecture (DCS/PLC/ESD systems)
Excellent interpersonal, reporting, and coordination skills
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards on-site
