GIS Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in GIS software: ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Experience with spatial databases: PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or SQL Server.
- With experience road asset management systems and infrastructure mapping tools.
- Ability to integrate GIS with BIM, ERP, or CMMS platforms.
- Programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, or VB.NET for automation and data processing.
- Hands-on experience in road network mapping, condition assessment, and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of infrastructure lifecycle management, including utilities, drainage, and pavement systems.
- Ability to analyze geospatial data for route optimization, traffic flow, and maintenance scheduling.
- Familiarity with surveying techniques, GPS data collection, and remote sensing for infrastructure monitoring.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret spatial data and generate actionable insights.
- Attention to detail for accurate mapping and validation of infrastructure assets.
- Effective communication and reporting skills for coordination with engineering and planning teams.
- Project management capabilities to support multi-phase infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Advanced certification or diploma in GIS, Remote Sensing, or Geospatial Technologies is preferred.
- With a 7 years’ experience and Ashghal approval
