Telecom Technician

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of telecom equipment.
Troubleshoot faults in IP, RF, and transmission systems.
Install, configure, test, and commission telecom equipment.
Maintain and repair fiber optic networks, structured cabling, and telecom infrastructure.
Support telecom systems including LAN/WAN, CCTV, IP Telephony, PABX, Radio, Access Control, and PA/GA systems.
Conduct site inspections and prepare maintenance reports.
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams for fault resolution.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and company procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
Participate in emergency call-outs and on-call support when required.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in telecom field maintenance.
Valid Qatar Driving License (Mandatory).
Hands-on experience with OTDR, IP networking, switches, routers, and telecom testing equipment.
Good knowledge of telecom standards and maintenance procedures.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience with Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson, Cisco, or Juniper equipment.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and fault management.
Experience working in telecom service providers in Qatar or the GCC.
