Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions

An Accountant’s responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable

Producing error-free accounting reports and presenting their results. Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
• Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
• Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
