AIWA Trading Maintenance and Contracting W.L.L.
§ Perform all skilled masonry works not limited to maintenance works, minor renovations, and construction in accordance with standard operating procedures, specifications, and standard best practices in order to accomplish high standards of quality works.
§ Read and understand drawings, checklists, work orders, or otherwise seek an explanation from Supervisor/Technical Officer so that works can be executed accordingly and obtain desirable end results.
§ Perform interior renovation and construction work, including lay building materials, including block, stone, brick, asphalt, concrete, other masonry works, and other general works, all works shall be in accordance with standard best practices and achieve the highest quality of workmanship
§ Mixes concrete using concrete-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools in accordance with specifications and standards required.
§ Monitor tools and electrical equipment in proper working conditions at all times and inform Technical Officer of any unsafe conditions in order to avoid unwanted incidents.
§ Perform other duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the organization.
Qualifications
§ High School Qualification with minimum 2 years of work-related experience.
§ Must have a Trade certificate in Masonry and Building works from a recognized institution
§ Must have experience in all sorts of scopes of masonry works as below:
v Erection of brick walls, replacement/repair of wall/floor tiles (mosaic, granite, marble), and erection of tiling on new areas
v Removal and replacement of interlocking pavers
v Erection of interlocking pavers in new areas
v Plastering of wall surfaces with final finishing
v Repair of water-proofing layers
v Erection/Installation of concrete bollards and barriers
v Repair works on asphalt/rigid pavements
v Repair works on sewer/services man-hole
v Installation/repair of wash basin vanity tops etc.
v Repair of any masonry-based infrastructures within the facilities
§ Ability to take instruction and execute accurately in a speedy manner and to demonstrate willingness and enthusiasm towards work
§ Must possess good practical skills in woodwork, joinery in all sorts of furniture, and various building finishes such as ceilings, flooring, walls, door, lock/hinge repairs, and wood finishing
§ Must have good knowledge in the use of bench saws, electrical hand tools, planes, drills etc.
