Land Surveyor (INFRA/ROADS UTILITIES) job vacancy in Doha, Qatar
The Land Surveyor is part of the surveying team and will be providing all necessary assistance to the INFRA/ROAD supervision team with respect to all surveying works and quantity measurement aspects for the project. The Land Surveyor will report to the Site Engineer/Project Manager (Roads / Utilities) whenever applicable.
REMUNERATION: SALARY (upon interview) + TRANSPORTATION (WHILE ON-WORK)
PROBATION: 03 MONTHS

REQUIREMENTS:
• Technical Diploma or Degree – Any Equivalent
• Min of 4 to 5 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure project(s)
• Only Qatar experience candidates shall be entertained.
• Can undertake complex technical support with no supervision tasks such as drafting, graphic design, engineering support, site inspections and deployment of equipment on-site, IT network administration, document control, KPI computation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Check the elevations, the setting out and the rest of the survey work by the Main Contractor are required to ensure accuracy.
• Advise the Site Engineer and recommend actions concerning INFRA/ROAD surveys.
• Maintain the INFRA/ROAD surveys and quantity records as per the Main Contractor’s instructions.
• Perform the initial baseline and control surveys including the establishment of benchmarks and recovery of any existing survey monuments to be removed at the start of the project as directed by the Main Contractor or Consultant’s Engineer.
• Attend the Contractor’s request for surveys, including the checking of the Contractor’s setting out of centerlines, structures, slope stakes, etc.
• Check the field measurement surveys including original and final cross-sections, check critical elevations, dimensions, and locations of structural elements, earthwork grading, pavement, and appurtenances, check the Contractor’s detailed survey in advance of construction operations, investigate and clarify survey discrepancies.
• Participate in the format and standard procedures for calculation and documentation of quantities.
• Assist the Main Contractor in training in the use of modern survey equipment.
• Involve in the calibration and checking of the survey instruments and well capable of operating GPS/Total Stations and Level machine instruments.
• Involve in the AS-BUILT review and finalization as per the Main Contractor and in coordination with Main Contractor’s Land Surveyors and Inspectors.
