Biomedical Service Engineer – Job Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment in a safe, independent, and timely manner.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation related to repairs, replacement parts, calibrations, and modifications of medical equipment.
- Utilize computer software and mathematical models to design, develop, and test new materials, devices, and equipment.
- Construct and assess prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and refine designs until optimal functionality is achieved.
- Collaborate with companies, technicians, and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product.
- Assess and approve new biomedical equipment through conducting thorough tests.
- Install equipment, including establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and conducting performance tests.
- Possess knowledge of IT integration with hospital systems for various medical devices.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules, conduct tests, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions to maintain biomedical equipment.
- Provide equipment operation demonstrations to facilitate proper usage of biomedical equipment.
- Manage biomedical equipment supplies inventory by regular stock checks.
- Compile biomedical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information and trends.
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests, recommending and adhering to procedures, and providing training and guidance to medical and healthcare personnel.
- Contribute to organizational goals by taking ownership of and fulfilling new and diverse requests.
Requirements:
- Currently employed in Qatar with availability of NOC.
- Possess a valid local driver’s license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
