One of our companies is looking for a Chocolatier / Chocolate-maker who has expertise in creating chocolates (using own original recipes and company-owned recipes) from start to finish. The candidate should have knowledge and skills in different techniques of making chocolates (tempering, molding, decorating, glazing, etc.).
– He / she must be passionate in creating new flavours and types of chocolates, experimenting on texture and ingredient combinations.
– He / she must be available to join immediately with transferable work visa.
Below are some of the specific duties and responsibilities:
Job Descriptions:
· Create chocolates based on the approved recipes from start to finish
Create pastries, cakes, confectioneries, and savories from start to finish
· Lead and monitor a team of chocolate makers to ensure that daily deliverables / orders are met
· Train new members on the recipes and standards of making the chocolates
· Create original recipes with new flavours or for new types of chocolates
· Develop flavour and texture combinations
· Produce chocolate, confectionery, and pastry products
· Design or suggest new moulds / packaging for chocolates
· Maintain quality and hygiene standards
· Resolve issues that may arise on the chocolate making / production (tempering, consistency in flavour, texture, etc.)
· Liaise / coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, delivery, operations, accounts, and management)
· Keep up to date with trends in the chocolate and confectionery industry
· Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
