Position: Contracts Engineer
Location: Lusail, Qatar
Type: Long-term Contract
Eligibility Criteria:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, or related field).
– Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in contracts management within the oil and gas industry.
– Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Contract Preparation and Negotiation:
– Develop, review, and negotiate contracts for engineering and construction projects, ensuring all terms and conditions are favorable to the company.
– Collaborate with legal advisors to draft contracts that mitigate risks and adhere to legal compliance.
– Manage the complete contract lifecycle including initiation, execution, monitoring, and closure.
– Maintain organized records of all contracts, amendments, and correspondence related to contract performance.
– Identify potential risks within contracts and project performance, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
– Conduct regular reviews of contract performance and compliance, ensuring timely resolution of any contractual disputes.
– Liaise with project managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication regarding contract obligations and deliverables.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for any contractual disputes or issues, facilitating discussions and negotiations to resolve conflicts amicably.
Document all dispute resolutions and ensure proper follow-up on contractual compliance.
– Prepare detailed and timely reports on contract performance, risks, and issues for management review.
– Provide updates on contract status during project meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of key developments.
– Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.
Stay informed about changes in legislation affecting contracts and procurement processes.
