Salary for both position: 6,150 QAR per month/full package
Working as part of Radiology’s multi-disciplinary team, the Coordinator – Patient Imaging, under the direction of the Supervisor – Patient Imaging and Scheduling, provides excellent patient-focused care whilst performing accurate and timely scheduling activities at both the Out- and In-Patient Radiology sites for all modalities including complex DI/Radiology anesthesia scheduling. He/she provides courteous and efficient assistance for all patients, their families and other internal and external visitors / callers to Radiology. The scope and purpose are to provide frontline operational support to the clinical Radiology facility so that patients receive efficient and timely patient-centered care.
The Coordinator – Patient Imaging performs basic reception/ registration activities in support of the Radiology Processing Officer and may also perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Patient Imaging and Scheduling.
Systems integral to Coordinator – Patient Imaging workflows may include:
· Cerner Scheduling System, including limited SurgiNet application
· Radnet application
· Cerner registration application
· Powerchart order entry
· Biometrics, including palm scanning technology
· Patient identification
· Insurance necessity and eligibility applications
· Capacity management patient transportation application
IT hardware including document scanning and barcode reader equipment
Working as part of Radiology’s multi-disciplinary team, the Officer – Image Processing, under the direction of the Supervisor – Patient Imaging and Scheduling, provides excellent patient-focused care whilst performing accurate and timely reception and registration activities at both the Out – and In -Patient Radiology sites.
These officers provide courteous and efficient assistance for all patients, their families and other internal and external visitors / callers to Radiology. Their scope and purpose are to provide frontline operational support to the clinical Radiology facility so that patients receive efficient and timely patient-centered care.
Based on operational requirements, Officer – Image Processing liaises with Ambulatory Affairs Generalist in the OB Diagnostics Out-Patient Clinic to provide support to the Radiology Ultrasound service provision at that location.
The Officer – Image Processing performs basic scheduling activities in support of the Imaging Patient Coordinator and may perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Patient Imaging and Scheduling.
Systems integral to, the Officer – Image Processing workflows may include:
· Cerner registration application
· Cerner Scheduling System (limited)
· Powerchart order entry
· Radnet application
· Biometrics, including palm scanning technology
· Patient identification, including real time locating system (RTLS) wristband technology
· Finance payment system
· Insurance necessity and eligibility applications
IT hardware including document scanning and barcode reader equipment.
· Consistently performs accurate Patient Identification practices, including proper PEARL record searches and accurate wristband placement.
· Initiates and advocates decisions in the context of patient experience and patient-centered care – which impacts patients, families, and physicians.
· Digitizes and uploads external imaging studies to PACS.
· Performs accurate copying of imaging exams performed at Sidra.
· Consistent entry of quality registration data.
· Performs upfront cash collections during registration activities – directly impacts revenue cycle cash collections.
· Consistently performs the Patient Identification process, including patient wristbands. Activates and applies Real Time Locating System (RTLS) wristbands to all inpatient admissions originating in Radiology or who may require to have their RTLS wristband removed to safely undergo their procedure (MRI).
· Ensures accurate patient identification by reviewing the Master Patient Index (MPI) to determine if patient has an existing medical record before initiating registrations. Reviews and validates printed wristbands with each patient and performs biometric validation. Prints wristbands for those patients attending directly to radiology. Consistent and methodical implementation of the biometric system in Patient Identification practices
· Accurately scans appropriate patient identification into the electronic medical record: Qatar Identity Card and / or passport, and Insurance Card. Ensures insurance information is updated and accurate for each visit.
· Performs accurate registrations in assigned Radiology locations.
· Thoroughly explains all electronic documents and captures patient or patient legal guardian’s signatures.
· Successfully completes insurance eligibility which may require direct contact with the insurance company and Sidra’s financial counsellors.
