Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead a new project team for the Free flow Tolling and Congestion Charging System in Doha, Qatar. This is a new role and will focus on all aspects of Project Management for Congestion Charging element of this new contract.

Joining the Project Management Team in Doha, you will have experience and knowledge of Utilities and Transportation Networks as well as Project Management experience of systems installation. You will have worked with complex networking systems including liaison with multiple network carriers, networking protocols, management of network vendors and integration of existing networks (WAN customer network engagement) into the emovis network locally.

This role will involve the installation of utilities, networking and ITS systems alongside existing public transportation network systems. Health and Safety experience in the field is essential (public transportation system ‘live sites’) installations. Consulting experience in the areas of public utilities, electricity and connectivity of OCR systems a distinct advantage. Will be required to engage with the client and translate user needs into functional and technical specifications as well as develop user acceptance deliverables and go-live phases as well as delivering on al aspects of the day to day operational needs of the contract.

The Project Manager will work closely with the Project Director, Project Team and also will oversee the management of the related Subcontractors to implement these solutions and ensure critical system availability is maintained, while client contract obligations are met or exceeded. In this role, you should have excellent stakeholder’s communication and sub-contractor’s management skills together with strong problem-solving capabilities and thorough knowledge of all types of Tolling Systems / Congestion charging / ITS.

Manage the project from the specifications to the customer acceptance and deployment (customer requirements, functional specifications, batches, deliverables, acceptance criteria, etc.) Steer the implementation of the project (with the objective of complying with set costs and deadlines, as well as budget and financial project management tasks.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar role and experience with the following:

·Project Management experience on complex tolling/transportation projects.

·ITS technologies including LPR, CCTV, detection systems, etc.

·Congestion charging systems, Free flow Tolling systems

· Carrier solutions such as MPLS, IPsec VPN’s and other Ethernet technologies

·BSc/BA in Electronic engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

· Utilities (Electrical/Electronic) Consulting Engineering experience desired.

·Project Management formal qualifications (PMI Certified, Prince 2 etc.).
