Data Analyst Expert job vacancy in Doha, Qatar

Job Duties

· Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

· Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

· Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

· Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

·Collaborate with the product, operations, marketing and finance to deliver on key projects. This will include data provisioning, exploratory data analysis, data visualization and in some instances, statistical modelling

· Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

·Design and analyze A/B multivariate tests to drive KPI improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

· At least a Bachelor’s degree (preferably a Master’s Degree) in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics from a recognized university.

Experience/industry

· Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as a Data Analyst Expert (Preferably within the transportation and logistics industries) Qatar or GCC region.

Specific skills

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent English language skills (mandatory)

· Excellent technical writing skills (mandatory).

· Experience in preparing project reports, and/or publications.

· Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)

· Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)

· Proficient in use of computer software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc)
