Description
Auto Electrician Responsibilities:
1. Installing new vehicle wiring systems.
2. Installing and troubleshooting immobilizer and alarm systems.
3. Gathering information from customers about issues with their electrical system.
4. Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action.
5. Providing customers with estimated time and cost for repairs.
6. Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems.
7. Servicing of electrical automotive parts.
8. Servicing and repairing electrical systems on agricultural vehicles.
9.Maintaining a clean working environment.
Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
1. Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
2. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
3. Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
4. Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
5. Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
6. Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Skills
High school diploma and auto electrical qualification certificate.
Proven work experience as an Auto Electrician. Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.
Ability to work in confined spaces. Complex problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment.
Good communication skills. Ability to work standing or in a crouched position for long periods.
