Fire Pump System Technician
We are looking for skilled technicians specializing in fire pump systems to join our technical team.
Responsibilities:
1. Installation of Fire Pumps:
o Install fire pumps according to technical specifications and engineering plans.
o Ensure that piping systems, valves, and connections are properly integrated with the pumps.
2. Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
o Perform preventive and routine maintenance on fire pumps and their associated systems.
o Troubleshoot and repair any issues to ensure proper operation.
o Inspect and assess the performance of pumps and related systems to ensure compliance with standards.
3. Testing and Operation:
o Conduct performance tests on pumps after installation and maintenance.
o Ensure the safety and readiness of systems for emergency operation.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
o Document all maintenance and repairs performed.
o Prepare detailed technical reports on the condition of pumps, including any observations or recommendations.
5. Collaboration with Other Teams:
o Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure that fire systems are integrated with other mechanical systems.
o Provide technical support in joint projects and analyze complex issues.
6. Compliance with Standards and Regulations:
o Adhere to NFPA standards, Qatar Civil Defense requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
o Ensure that all work is conducted according to best engineering practices and recognized standards.
Qualifications:
• Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in installing and maintaining fire pumps.
• Full knowledge of NFPA standards and Qatar Civil Defense systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering plans and schematics.
• Ability to work at different job sites and under pressure.
