Position Title: LV Electrical Technician / Power Plant Operator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled LV Electrical Technician cum Power Plant Operator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Low-Voltage Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
System Maintenance: Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on LV electrical systems, including motors, lighting, control panels, and distribution boards.
Fault Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in LV equipment, such as wiring, motors, and control circuits.
Installations: Upgrade and install LV electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes.
Testing and Calibration: Use tools like multimeters for electrical testing and equipment calibration.
2. Power Plant Operation:
Equipment Monitoring: Operate and monitor power generation systems, such as turbines, generators, and boilers.
Control Room Operations: Utilize control systems (e.g., SCADA/DCS) for plant operation and parameter adjustment.
Start-Up/Shutdown Procedures: Safely execute procedures for equipment start-up and shutdown.
3. Safety and Compliance:
Electrical Safety Protocols: Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE use.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
4. System Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
Team Coordination: Work with technicians and engineers for smooth operations.
Documentation: Maintain records of maintenance activities and operational data.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Technical Skills:
Expertise in LV Systems: Experience in maintaining LV electrical systems, motors, control panels, and wiring.
Power Plant Knowledge: Understanding of power plant equipment, such as turbines and generators.
Control Systems: Familiarity with SCADA/DCS for equipment monitoring.
Testing Tools: Proficiency in using multimeters, insulation testers, and other electrical tools.
2. Safety and Compliance:
Safety Standards: Knowledge of safety practices for LV systems and power plants.
Hazard Identification: Ability to identify and manage potential risks.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Diploma or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related fields.
Certifications: LV Electrical Technician or power plant certifications preferred (e.g., NICET).
Experience: 5-10 years in LV electrical maintenance and power plant operations.
