Roles and Accountabilities

• Capacity Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and assessments of the existing electrical infrastructure to determine its capacity and identify potential areas for improvement or expansion.
• Planning and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network planning, operations, and facility management to develop comprehensive electrical capacity plans. Design electrical systems and layouts for optimal efficiency and scalability.
• Load Forecasting: Utilize historical data and predictive modeling techniques to forecast future electrical load requirements based on network growth projections and technological advancements.
• Equipment Sizing and Selection: Determine the appropriate sizing and specifications for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and distribution panels to meet the capacity requirements.
• Budgeting and Cost Analysis: Assist in preparing budgets for electrical infrastructure projects. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate different solutions and technologies, ensuring cost-effectiveness while meeting capacity demands.
• Compliance and Standards: Stay updated with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards pertaining to electrical systems and safety. Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the electrical infrastructure and develop mitigation strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Project Management: Oversee the implementation of electrical capacity enhancement projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical infrastructure assets, configurations, and capacity utilization. Generate regular reports on capacity metrics, performance, and future expansion plans.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the capacity planning function. Implement best practices and recommend innovative solutions to enhance overall performance

Experience, Qualification and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution systems, and related equipment.
• Previous experience in capacity planning, network engineering, or telecommunications infrastructure management is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools for electrical design and analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Project management experience with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results within budget constraints.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in documentation and reporting.
