Laffan Technical
This position is an on-site contractual role based in Ras Laffan for a Piping Supervisor. The Piping Supervisor will be tasked with the oversight and supervision of piping installation and maintenance activities on-site. Their responsibilities extend to managing a team of piping technicians, ensuring the completion of work adhering to safety guidelines, on schedule, and meeting the necessary quality standards. Additional duties encompass monitoring equipment and material inventories, preparing progress reports, conducting quality inspections, and collaborating with other departments to facilitate effective coordination of activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in piping construction and maintenance, preferably within the oil and gas industry
- Recent Oil & Gas industry experience at Qatar is highly preferred.
- Technical knowledge of piping materials, standards, and specifications
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team and resolve conflicts
- Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and executing work scopes
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
