Urgent hiring for Project Management Office Expert for a telecommunications and information technology sector in Qatar (5 months contract):
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide successful and consistent delivery of Program / Project Management Office (PMO) Services for a large program or project.
Establish project documentation requirements or procedures and advise stakeholders.
Track and report program / project progress and performance, identify issues and recommend changes when necessary.
Track status of program/project deliverables and milestones
Support adoption and delivery of corporate governance expectations
Support program / project boards
Coordinate project reporting.
Carry out risk assessments and capture them in a risk register, involving stakeholders and referring to specialists where relevant.
Assess potential impact of change requests.
Update relevant program / project documents to reflect agreed changes and ensure traceability e.g., plan, schedules, product backlogs and the business case.
Share information, good practice, and expertise with others.
Support the review and analysis of completed programs/ projects, including the coordination of post implementation reviews (PIRs)
Required Skills/Abilities:
Motivates and influences immediate team members to a high level of performance to meet immediate team objectives and deliver towards overall team goals,
Inspires and empowers others to maximize performance to contribute to EPMO team strategy.
Good communication skills will be required with the ability to guide, influence, and convince immediate team and others, and including colleagues within the program / project they are supporting.
Mentoring skills
Good understanding of EPMO processes and ensures immediate team delivers in line with these in order to meet the goals and the program / project they are supporting.
Able to report on and escalate budget/resources for the program / project they are supporting.
Education and Experience:
At least 15 years in government and technology projects.
Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, IT
Proven success in a similar role
Good knowledge and experience of industry standard best practice Portfolio and Program Management
Ability to manage control, track, and report on programs / projects to facilitate successful delivery to time, cost and scope.
Good written communication skills
Proficient user of the MS Office suite, MS Visio, and MS Project
