The primary purpose of Brand Development Manager is to provide a focal point for a product’s success. The activities the project managers will focus on are often a function of the life cycle of the product and vary over time. The core aspects that will be covered by the job are defining strategies, set goals and initiatives, prioritize releases and features, maintain a roadmap, communicate across different functions, manage products in different retail channels, and stay close to the customers.

Product Planning and Management

Manage day-to-day performance of the product line with the distribution and in retail
Monitor the entire product line life cycle in the market
Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all audiences – internal teams and external partner
Coordinate the company’s efforts in the launching of new products and services
Product Sales and Marketing

Develop product marketing plan and sales event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand
Plan product launch in the local market.
Support sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise
Develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product division
Product Training

Conduct product presentations and training.
Work with HQ to develop sales tools and sales training materials.
Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
Research, develop, manage and deliver product-focused programs and related communications for assigned product categories.
Create consistent messaging around retail product communications and training materials for both new and existing products.
Determine appropriate training methodology for local market
Conduct onsite and online end-user training sessions for new and existing customers
Research and Analysis

Research and analyze market conditions
Identify key competitor and consumer trends
Articulate market requirements and opportunities
Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements

 

JOB CONTEXT

The role of Product Manager is focused on verifying product availability and establishing strong support on all retail channels. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The Product Manager communicates internally and externally as follows:·  Internally with the HQ and stakeholders

Externally with the partners, distributors, retailers & key accounts (current & potential)
Maintain high levels of persistency while establishing balance & synergy between the internal and external relationships
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING

Respond effectively to daily issues (internal & external) and constantly adapt to business changes
Coordinate closely with HQ
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

University’s level Degree or equivalent.
5+ years of marketing, development, sales, or product management experience.
Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making
Proficient in productivity applications especially Microsoft Office suite
Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information
Must be a strong writer and public speaker in front of large, senior groups
Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
Subject matter expert/industry experience is a strong plus
This position requires domestic and international travel to customer and potential sites
Communicator with effective interpersonal skills
Excellent time-management skills
Experience in electronics, accessories, and gadgets company is a must
