Are you a seasoned Protection Engineer with a passion for ensuring power grid reliability?
EDF, a leading player in the energy sector, seeks a skilled Testing & Commissioning Protection Engineer to join our team in Qatar.
In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for:
Witnessing and overseeing the testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection systems for 11kV to 400kV electrical networks.
Applying your in-depth knowledge of protection philosophies to ensure optimal system functionality.
Performing a comprehensive range of tests, including CT/VT, AC/DC, scheme checks, relay settings, and SCADA controls.
Collaborating with engineering teams to guarantee the proper functioning of protection systems.
Contributing your technical expertise to provide effective support whenever needed.
To excel in this role, you’ll possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and commissioning protection systems.
A strong understanding of protection philosophies, relay settings, and protection coordination principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A commitment to adhering to strict quality, health, and safety protocols.
Experience with Qatar’s transmission/distribution networks is a valuable asset.
