We are looking to hire a quantitative analyst for the Portfolio Construction team here at Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), to work with quantitative research, analyses, and modelling for asset allocation.
At QIA we are currently focusing on expanding the capabilities of our top-down investment process, and the Portfolio Construction team will take a key part in shaping and implementing this process. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want to work in a growing and evolving team, where your work will have a real impact.
Role responsibility:
– Develop analyses and tools to support the decision making process for asset allocation.
– Support investment teams with quantitative analyses.
– Communicate and coordinate allocation decisions with relevant investment teams, monitor and guide the implementation of these decisions.
– Perform and share quantitative research as part of the continuous improvement of the fund.
Candidate profile:
– Knowledge and strong interest in quantitative methods in portfolio construction, asset allocation, or financial risk modelling.
– Good programming skills, in e.g. Python, MATLAB, and VBA.
– 3-6 years of relevant experience in the financial industry.
– Masters’ degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
