Secondary English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacher to join our clients esteemed educational institution in Qatar. As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students love for literature, language, and critical thinking, while equipping them with essential skills to excel in their academic and personal lives. Successful applicants must meet the following qualifications and experience:Qualifications and Experience:

• A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
• Exceptional subject knowledge, with extensive experience of teaching the British National Curriculum in Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 preferably).
• Experience of teaching IGCSE and AS/A level (desirable International Baccalaureate).
• A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning, evidenced by student performance and achievements.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in the learning process.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest teaching methodologies and approaches.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities after school, contributing to the holistic development of students.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English language and literature lessons according to the British National Curriculum and other relevant syllabi.
• Create a dynamic and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Adapt teaching methods and strategies to cater to students individual needs and learning styles.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their progress and development.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters respect and academic excellence.
• Engage students in discussions and activities that promote cultural awareness and global perspectives.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and collaborate with parents to ensure students academic and personal growth.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide educational initiatives and programs.
• Attend professional development workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Organise and participate in extra-curricular activities and school events as part of the holistic educational experience.
