Job Summary:
The Gardening Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the gardening team to ensure that all landscaped areas, gardens, lawns, and plants are maintained to a high standard. The role includes supervising staff, planning work schedules, monitoring plant health, and ensuring the proper use of gardening equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of gardeners.
Plan, assign, and monitor gardening and landscaping tasks.
Inspect gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure they are healthy and well maintained.
Ensure proper watering, pruning, fertilizing, weeding, and pest control practices are carried out.
Train and guide gardeners on gardening techniques, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment.
Monitor the use and maintenance of gardening tools, machinery, and irrigation systems.
Identify and report any landscape maintenance or irrigation issues.
Maintain inventory of gardening supplies and request materials when required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Prepare daily work reports and update management on completed tasks and ongoing projects.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Gardening Supervisor, Landscaping Supervisor, or in a similar role.
Good knowledge of gardening, landscaping, irrigation systems, and plant care.
Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid Qatar ID (QID) with a transferable visa preferred.
Company-provided accommodation; leave-out arrangement is not allowed.
