Site Supervisor (Excavation)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED IN EXCAVATION AND BACK-FILLING SITE SUPERVISOR (INFRA/ROADS & UTILITIES)

NATURE OF WORK:

Works under the general supervision of the Site Engineer, who assigns projects and reviews work for conformance with departmental expectations.

Performs general engineering work involved in the design, review, and inspections MAIN Contractor and construction projects including Bulk/Trench Excavation, Demolition, Backfill/laying, and Finishing works.

Provides technical assistance to the Site Engineer in coordinating and completing the Al Salaf’s engineering review & tendering process.

Also responsible for permit conditions, construction codes, development regulations, and/or contract requirements.

Whereas we are looking for a trustworthy, take-charge individual to join our growing business as a site supervisor.

The role of a site supervisor has broad responsibilities, from managing staff and overseeing projects, to maintaining safety protocols and implementing site procedures.

REMUNERATION: QAR 2500 + TRANSPORTATION (WHILE ON-WORK)

PROBATION: 03 MONTHS

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical Diploma
• Min of 3 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure project(s)
• Only Qatar experience candidates shall be entertained.
• Can undertake complex technical support with no supervision tasks such as drafting, graphic design, engineering support, site inspections, IT network administration, document control, KPI computation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

-Oversee day to day operations of the facility

-Provide for site safety and security, devise and implement site policies and procedures

-Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, monitor operators/equipment, and site team

-Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures, prepare, and file DPRs.

-Supervise and evaluate staff/equipment; complete employee/equipment reviews, keep accurate records of employee/equipment attendance and timesheets; provide positive direction to motivate quality performance, discipline personnel when necessary, and appropriate.

– Interview candidates; onboard and train new hires

– Set project goals and oversee projects to completion, schedule, and track assignments

– Handle sensitive information with confidentiality

– Ensure compliance with contracted service level agreements and maintain up-to-date records.

-Achieve targets on a daily basis and completes the assigned work from staff/equipment.

– Establish site coordination and relationship with Main Contractors.

– Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.

–  Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope, calculating resources required, establishing standards and protocols, allocating resources, scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors, evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions, resolving design problems, evaluating and implementing change orders.
