Clean and Polish Cookware:
– Cleans and sanitises pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following standard procedures.
– Cleans and sanitises dishes, and all other kitchenware following the manufacturing instructions.
– Consistently follow the correct and safe way of chemical usage in cleaning.
– Wash, Wipe, Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organised following proper shelving.
– Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.

Operate Kitchen Machines:
– Knowledge and proficiency to operate commercial dishwashers.
– Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order.
– For dishwasher usage: wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dishwasher.
– Uses all kitchen equipment according to manufacturing instructions and kitchen guidelines.

Overall Cleaning and Waste Removal:
? Carry out general cleaning as directed; include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins
and boxes ensuring proper storage.
? Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen floors, walls and dish washing area.
? Collects and removes trash from all areas of the kitchen operation.
? Dispose of waste and adhere to recycling guidelines.
? Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.
? Maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance to the food safety and hygiene policy.
? Clean, sanitise and always close workstations.

Organise Kitchen:
? Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times.
? Ensuring the removal of broken, chipped cutlery or other kitchen items used in food preparation.
? Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the steward supervisor.
? Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Kitchen Assistance:
? Assist in light food preparation as directed by the Chef on duty.
? Assist in serving food and beverages upon the Chef’s directives.
? Other duties as assigned
