BMS Estimation Engineer

Responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for implementing Building Management System new solution projects as well as existing ones (migration, upgradation, etc.). Strong understanding of BMS technologies, proficient in project estimation methodologies, and can collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate project requirements and specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of the BMS needs.
2. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for BMS projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and associated expenses.
3. Utilize industry benchmarks and historical data to ensure realistic and competitive estimates.
4. Assess the technical aspects of BMS projects, including system architecture, hardware, software, and integration requirements.
5. Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with BMS projects and integrate risk factors into the estimation process.
6. Knowledge in understanding RFQ documents to develop Data point schedule, Control schematics, system architecture.
7. Knowledge in preparing BMS specification compliance with respect to project requirements.
8. Deep knowledge of Siemens BMS product portfolio.
9. Knowledge in Lighting controls (KNX) & room automation is a plus.
10. Knowledge to prepare valve selections.
11. Develop contingency plans and alternative cost scenarios as needed.
12. Work closely with the sales team to create compelling and accurate project proposals.
13. Maintain detailed documentation of all estimates, assumptions, and methodologies used in the estimation process.
14. Update and refine estimation templates and tools based on feedback and evolving industry standards.
15. Collaborate with technical teams to align project scope with client expectations.
16. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to gather essential project details.
