Civil Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a strong background in quantities takeoff from drawings and the creation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ). The ideal candidate should have significant experience in Primavera planning software and proficiency in AutoCAD. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct quantities takeoff from construction drawings, including but not limited to structural, architectural, and MEP plans.
– Generate comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on the quantities takeoff.
– Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project estimation and cost control.
– Utilize Primavera planning software to develop project schedules and timelines.
– Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid proposals.
– Provide technical support to construction teams during project execution.
– Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to construction quantity surveying.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
– Proven experience in quantities takeoff and BOQ preparation for construction projects.
– Proficiency in Primavera planning software and AutoCAD.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
– Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
– Prior experience in the construction industry in Qatar is preferred.
– Familiarity with local construction regulations and practices is advantageous.
