Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil/Infrastructure Wet Utility Draftsman to contribute to our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive drawings and plans related to wet utility infrastructure, including water supply, stormwater drainage, sewer systems, and irrigation networks. The role involves close collaboration with engineers and other team members to ensure the accuracy and compliance of all drafted documents.
Responsibilities:
Drafting and Design:
– Generate accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics for wet utility infrastructure projects, including potable water, stormwater, foul sewer, and irrigation networks.
– Collaborate closely with engineering teams to interpret project specifications and requirements.
Software Proficiency:
– Utilize industry-standard Civil 3D and AutoCAD software, such as AutoCAD and related tools, to create and modify engineering drawings.
– Stay current with advancements in drafting technologies and methodologies.
Quality Control:
– Ensure that all drafted materials adhere to relevant regulatory standards, project specifications, and quality control measures.
– Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.
Documentation:
– Maintain an organized and up-to-date repository of all drawings and revisions.
– Assist in preparing project documentation and reports, contributing to comprehensive project records.
Collaboration:
– Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, surveyors, and project managers.
– Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required.
Requirements:
Education: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Civil/Infrastructure Wet Utility Draftsman with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using Civil 3D and AutoCAD software, with specific experience in wet utility design and drafting.
Knowledge of wet utility infrastructure principles, codes, and standards.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
