We are looking for a FINANCE MANAGER, with minimum 10 years’ experience as                                   Finance & Accounting Manager and minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in                      Retail Industry. Post-Graduate (M.B.A from premier B School), with C.P.A. Holding a valid Qatar ID and able to provide NOC to join our company located at Doha, Qatar.

Summary:  The Finance Manager will serve as the key leader of the finance operations of the organization and he will oversee and implement best practices in the Finance and Accounting Teams to ensure the Executive and Operational Management of the company have timely, actionable data, and advice to increase revenues, manage investment and risk allocation decisions, communicate to stakeholders, and ensure compliance. He will also look around the corner to see where the future of financial management related to Retail Industry is going.

Functions:

Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to:

Functional:

1.      Responsible for establishing finance operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies, designing systems, accumulating resources, resolving problems and implementing changes.

2.      Responsible for developing finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

3.      Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities, projecting acquisition and expansion prospects, analyzing organization operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and systems enhancement, accumulating capital to fund expansion.

4.      Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities and staff requirements, identifying monetary resources and developing action plans.

5.      Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing the impact of variances. Makes & manages budgets.

6.      Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities.

7.      Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances and developing improvements.

Operational:

1.      Summarize, interpret, and report on business scorecard to the Executive Team, providing guidance and advice to the Management for risk allocation and value creation decisions.

2.      Design and manage monthly and quarterly reports for the Management, including creation, management, and direction on KPIs and metrics to evaluate company financial performance.

3.      Oversee and lead the Finance Team including monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles and annual, 3-year and 5-year budgets and strategic planning.

4.      Setting up right priorities to achieve strategic goals.

5.      Exploring new business opportunities with justifying investment & value addition to bottom-line.

6.      Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Risk Management:

1.      Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile.

2.      Monitor all open legal issues involving company and legal issues affecting the industry.

3.      Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

4.      Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

5.      Provide feedback to the management regarding risks and potentials for new business opportunities or deals, new product developments and potential partners.

General Management:

1.      Effectively communicate with the Finance Team and motivate them to work proactively in order to handle difficult situations, with the aim to rectify them and avoid recurrences.

2.      Plan, develop and implement strategies for generating resources and guiding the business model in order to attain the self-sustainability of the organization.

3.      Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

4.      Maintain a courteous attitude when communicating with co-workers or subordinates.

5.      Ensure that your employees have a fair and accurate leave plan every year. In high and low seasons, the business operation should run smoothly, and overlap should be avoided.

6.      Make sure the all employees do not disclose or transmit any confidential or trade secret information, or proprietary information, about the company and its subsidiaries, or about the company owners, including their names, occupations and contact information to any third parties.

7.      Provide detailed explanations of the memos to ensure that all the employees understand our company policies, benefits program, and the rules governing the daily conduct of employees as well as the responsibilities, and ensure that these guidelines guide them throughout their employment with the company.

8.      Ensure that the employees’ appearance is appropriate to the workplace and the work they do.

9.      Report any violation occurring in the workplace to the Human Resources Department so that an appropriate disciplinary action can be taken.

Skills:

·         Post-Graduate (M.B.A from premier B School), C.A. or C.P.A with at least 10+ years of experience in Retail Industry.

·         Managerial Finance & Accounting experience for a minimum of 10 years.

·         Proven experience as Accountant for a minimum of 5 years in Retail Industry.

·         Proficiency in accounting software and experience with implementing Global SAP environment.

·         Technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise with SAP B1 and S4/ HANA as well as subject matter knowledge within products and business processes related to Finance & Accounting.

·         Excited about corporate finance and strategy, and growing a company on a long-term basis.

·         Experience with mid to large Retail Industry.

·         Proven ability to develop people and excited about growing the Finance Team and mentoring staff in their career development.

·         Strong desire to work with international customers and stakeholders and cherish the opportunity that working around the world could bring.

·         You have experience in reviewing legal contracts/agreements.

·         Excellent communication and analytical abilities and passion in making changes from complex to simple.

·         Ability to balance both strategic and tactical skill sets will be important, and able to communicate the forward-looking impacts of backward-facing information.

·         Strong system knowledge and self-motivated to complete a job that has not yet been tasked.

·         Passionate in leading the Finance Team to do what is right and to solve the problems.

·         Functional Accounting/Finance experience and skills.

·         Technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise with SAP B1 and S4/ HANA as well as subject matter knowledge within products and business processes related to Finance & Accounting.

·         Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.

·         Up to date with Furniture trends. accessories and best practices.

·         Excellent management and leadership skills.

·         Effective communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate the team.
