We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented F&B Cost Controller to join our dynamic team. As an F&B Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the profitability and efficiency of our Food and Beverage operations. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and control costs related to food and beverage purchases, inventory, and overall operations. You will work closely with the management team to develop cost control strategies, analyze financial data, and implement effective cost reduction measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze food and beverage costs, including purchases, inventory levels, and usage.
  • Conduct regular audits of food and beverage outlets to ensure compliance with cost control procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis, cost of goods sold, and profitability reports.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to negotiate favorable pricing and terms with suppliers.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of stock levels and valuation.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to minimize waste, spoilage, and theft.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Provide training and guidance to F&B staff on cost control measures and procedures.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to develop and cost menus.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts for food and beverage operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an F&B Cost Controller or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Proficient in using accounting and inventory management software.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage costing principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
