We are looking for a Senior Social Media Specialist, responsible for creating appealing, engaging and creative digital content for various social media platforms for internal and external clients. In addition, the senior social media specialist works closely with the senior management to generate a social media marketing strategy that will promote customer engagement and brand awareness and collaborates on the business development of the social media client database, expanding opportunities for maximizing the companies’ potential.
Responsibilities
Develop new approaches for market development, acquiring and analysing data and consulting with internal and external sources.
Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members and external customers.
Research and monitor the activity of company competitors and provide reports to the senior management.
Communicating in a professional, but unique social media style for each client; directly aligned with the customers’ thought leadership and content platform.
Design, create and distribute engaging written and graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages.
Grow and expand the company’s social media presence into new social media platforms, in addition to increasing its presence on existing platforms by adapting content to suit different channels.
Collect customer data and analyses interactions and visits, use this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
Maintain research database by identifying and assembling marketing information.
Handle clients’ social media accounts and their requests, providing the best possible service in order to grow the business.
Maintain (online) relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer-relations programs.
Attend mandatory team meetings.
Attend physical and virtual meetings with external customers.
Provide training and guidance to company team members on social media implementation best practices and strategies.
Define yearly online marketing strategy and planning for each company entity.
Define and monitor the most important social media KPIs.
Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation and implementation schedules.
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Contribute to marketing strategy by leveraging social media to identify and acquire customers.
Obtain market share by developing social media marketing plans and programs for each product/service and directing promotional support.
Provide short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
Mandatory bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic language.
Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office and Google suite.
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing databases, and social media advertising campaigns. Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines.
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, ability to share ideas and information in a clear and concise manner with external and internal customers, colleagues and management.
Extremely detail-oriented and with high attention to visual aesthetics.
Proven advanced client relationship management skills.
Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and the workflow in a busy office.
Be collaborative with other staff of the group subsidiaries.
Tact, discretion and good judgment.
Be in agreement with the philosophy, mission and overall direction of the company.
Must be able to support the director and owner/board in all decisions.
