IT Expert

We are a smart-mobility provider that will be offering Qatar a new array of mobility products including e-assist bicycles and electric scooters.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)

·Check computer hardware (HDD, keyboards etc.) to ensure the functionality

· Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications

· Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance

· Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

·Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment

·Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work

· Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)

· Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule

· Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology from a recognized university. or equivalent work experience

· Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

Experience/industry

· Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as an IT Expert (Preferably within the transportation and logistics industries) Qatar or GCC region.

· In-house IT experience is preferred (mandatory)

Specific skills

· Excellent English language skills (mandatory)

·Excellent technical writing skills (mandatory).

· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

·Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

·Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

Personal characteristics

· Privy to highly confidential information among the executive level offices and in other departments. (mandatory)

· Ability to work with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

· Ability to deliver work within tight deadlines and handle heavier work pressure near deadlines.
