Business Development Executive (Freight Forwarding)

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Responsibilities

Identify partnership opportunities.
Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
Maintain existing business.
Think critically when planning to assure project success.
Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
Researching prospective accounts in target markets.
Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.
Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals.
Assist on local business development by getting new accounts and increasing MS with existing accounts.
Seek new customers whose profile matches the strategy defined by the company.
Develop market share with existing customers.
Generate leads, set appointments, and present business proposals to potential customers through various communication channels, including face to face meetings, telephone calls, emails, etc.
Manage and maintain pipelines, respond to requests for information in a timely manner and remain proactive and responsive to prospective customers.
Handle RFQ and tenders
Protect the company benefit by strictly complying with all policies and regulations.
Effectively interacts with other departments including the account management, operation & logistics teams, and finance department.
Timely submission of sales report to direct manager or higher levels when required.

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent
At least 3-5 years of experience in Logistics & Freight Forwarding industry with exposure to sales and business development
Proficient in MS Office applications
Good at communication and negotiation
Strong organizational and management skills
Strategic thinking and statistical analysis skills
