As a Golf Club Front Desk Receptionist, your primary role is to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support at the front desk of a golf club. You will be the first point of contact for members and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and organized atmosphere at the club’s entrance.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting and Customer Service
- Warmly welcome members and guests as they arrive at the golf club.
- Provide information about club amenities, services, and upcoming events.
- Address inquiries and assist with special requests.
Membership Assistance
- Assist members with inquiries, membership renewals, and issuing membership cards.
- Maintain updated membership records and directories.
Tee Time Management
- Manage tee time reservations for members and guests, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
- Maintain an organized schedule to optimize tee time allocation.
Check-In and Check-Out
- Efficiently process member and guest check-ins, collecting fees, including green fees, cart rentals, and other charges.
- Handle check-out procedures, record scores, and manage rental equipment returns.
Phone and Email Communication:
- Manage incoming phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries and assisting with reservations.
- Relay important information regarding course conditions, special events, and promotions.
Cash Handling and Financial Records:
- Accurately handle cash transactions and maintain financial records.
- Reconcile daily transactions and prepare deposits as required.
Course Knowledge:
- Stay informed about course conditions, local rules, and any ongoing golf events.
- Provide golfers with accurate information about the course layout and potential hazards.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce golf club policies and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Address any issues related to unruly behaviour or course etiquette violations.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and general office tasks.
- Maintain records of reservations, daily play, and financial transactions.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Participates in team meetings and training
- Administer Padel Bookings & Lessons.
- Will work within the management offices of the ECGC, however will be required to visit other departments from time to time.
- Work may be required from time to time at other locations operated by the owners and management company.
- Work may be required at temporary locations during special events
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in similar field, preferably within the Gulf region.
- May be required: to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
- May be required: to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly uses close, distance, colour, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.
