Electrical Engineer job vacancy in Doha, Qatar

Providing detailed estimates for a project based on the construction drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

Responsible for the communication of bids and scope of work to PM, Supervisors, and Contractors/Sub-contractor in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.

CORE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off, analysis, and estimate, and studies for all deliverables involved in the assigned scope

· Identify design and constructability issues and analysis to determine constructability

· Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of the project

· Act as a connection between subcontractors, the design team (architects, engineers, consultants), and client

· Responsible for preparing and assembling bids and proposals for various contract types

· Determine required but not indicated scope through the analysis of site conditions and all contract documents (plans specifications, etc.)

· Collaborate with operations staff and other estimators to ensure that General Conditions and Requirement items are appropriately captured in the estimate

·  Perform an assessment on subcontractor proposals to ascertain if the scope is covered and also manage the risk of scope gaps

·  Proffer suggestions to the Chief Estimator or appropriate authority for contemplated expenditures.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Previous working experience as Estimation Engineer for (2) years

• Should be independently capable of preparing quotations & proposals for Electrical & ELV systems

• In-depth knowledge of project management

• Hands-on experience with complex data research activities

• Good understanding of data analysis methods and KPIs

• Familiarity with relevant computer programs

• BE in Electrical or similar relevant field
