Job Title: Electrical Technician

About Company: Large multinational oil and gas company

Experience: At least years’ experience in the Oil and Gas or Power Generation industries, with a minimum of 2 years’ as an Electrical Technician.

Essential Qualifications: Educational qualifications: Diploma or ITI in the relevant discipline.

Desirable Qualifications: N/A

Job Description 

Must have sound knowledge of lighting and associated ex panels and controls;
Must have good knowledge of various process equipment;
Must be able to read, write and speak English Language to IELTS 5
Must have a good understanding of QA.QC and HSE compliance audits
Must be able to understand job take and take verbal or written instruction
Shall be conversant with working on hazardous area equipment
Must have sound knowledge of (IEC based) Area Classification, Ex Standards, Ex Equipment (Basefa or CompEx)
Must have 2 years of experience in electrical fault finding tasks
Shall be able to use test equipment and have knowledge of fault finding
Must have knowledge of terminating cables and requirements for cable glanding, laying and jointing such cables.
Can read and understand general electrical drawings
Must be competent to isolate LV drive
Must be able to report close out activities & capture work history in SAP or CAFM

Skills Testing: May be required to undertake competency based test witnessed by Company Discipline Engineer.

Financial Package: Basic Salary, 2250 QAR per month.
