Estimation & Quantity Surveying Engineer

Pre-Tender / Cost Estimation:
 Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for MEP
systems.
 Conduct site visits to inspect actual conditions and prepare site visit reports, initial
scope, BOQs, and associated cost estimates.
 Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and
minor civil works, including materials, labor, overheads, subcontractors and
equipment.
 Develop and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on design/tender
requirements.
 Coordinate with procurement and suppliers/subcontractors for market-accurate
quotations.
 Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders (RFPs/RFQs).
 Summarize and finalize the cost estimates and submit to management to conclude
the bidding, including proposing value engineering options and pricing strategies.
Post-Award / Quantity Surveying & Cost Control:
 Review awarded contracts and scope to develop budgetary controls aligned with
project targets.
 Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking sheets.
 Coordinate with the project execution team and assist in defining technical
specifications and project scope aligned with cost benchmarks.
 Monitor and validate work progress to support monthly valuations and prepare
Interim Payment Applications (IPAs).
 Prepare and certify subcontractor bills and progress claims based on site
execution and verified measurements.
 Identify, quantify, and document variations and prepare Variation Orders (VOs)
with supporting cost justifications.
 Support the preparation of final accounts, cost-to-complete reports, and project
close-out documentation.
 Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams on all cost and commercial
matters throughout project execution.
