Senior Network and Security Officer

Nair Systems is currently looking Senior Network and Security Officer for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in network and security roles, preferably in a senior position.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and security architectures.
• Experience with security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Security Management:
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies, such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and firewalls.
Incident Response:
• Lead incident response activities and investigations.
• Analyze security breaches and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to mitigate security incidents.
Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Assist in audits and assessments related to network and security infrastructure.
• Maintain documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
System Administration:
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
• Conduct regular network maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure system backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
