Senior News Producer job vacancy in Doha, Qatar.
Core responsibilities:-
Build news bulletins and programs rundowns in a strategic and creative manner
Run a live gallery production calmly and professionally
Display solid news judgment
Capitalize on breaking news situation
Lead the daily editorial meeting and decision making on a specific newscast or program
Manage the newsroom team and deputize for the editor in chief when necessary
Prioritize stories and set agenda of the bulletin or program
Assign stories to be produced
Suggest and approve guests appearing in newscasts
Assist in the development of new graphics and brands
Ensure that the production plan is implemented and enhances the overall vision of the company
Supervises overall production activities, check edited time lines and suggest improvements or change
Oversee production team and serve as a resource to junior members of the staff
Coordinate all technical facilities
Coordinate with creative department to produce promotional material
Other Duties
Write teasers and promos in an effective manner to boost audience ratings and retention
Attend meetings within the news department or with other departments
Train and coach new staff members
May be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events

Computer and media asset management systems
Ability to develop Multi-Media production skills
Attention to detail and hardworking
Knowledge
Fluency in English
Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events
Expansive knowledge of local and regional current affairs, history and newsmakers
Experience:-
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a news producer
Experience of developing creative program ideas and of dealing with live and breaking news stories
Experience in social media and digital platforms is an advantage
Education:-
Minimum Bachelor degree in journalism or in a related field
