Job Summary:
The NACE Level 3 QC Engineer is responsible for quality control procedures related to corrosion prevention, protective coatings, coating application techniques, surface preparation, inspection criteria and such in accordance with industry standards and project / client specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, performing tests, coating thickness measurements, adhesion test, other relevant tests to assess the quality of coatings and surface preparation and provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
– NACE Level 3 certification in Coating Inspection (CIP level III) from an internationally accredited authority.
– Extensive experience in similar position. 10 years of hands-on experience.
– Proficiency in interpreting project specifications, technical drawings, and industry standards related to coatings and surface preparation.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
– Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications and inspection software/tools.
