We are seeking an experienced Senior Body Fitter to join our automotive workshop team in Qatar. The role is responsible for repairing and aligning damaged vehicle body parts to restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The position involves structural and non-structural body panel fitting, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with workshop procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements based on job cards and estimates.
Remove and refit damaged body panels, bumpers, doors, fenders, hoods, and structural components.
Perform panel beating, straightening, and alignment using approved tools and equipment.
Replace damaged parts using OEM or approved replacement components.
Ensure correct panel gaps, body lines, and alignment according to manufacturer specifications.
Follow manufacturer repair methods and safety standards at all times.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
Report additional damage or required work to the Body Shop Supervisor.
Ensure all repairs meet quality control standards prior to vehicle delivery.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques.
Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical drawings.
Skilled in panel fitting, metal straightening, and basic welding.
Strong attention to detail and quality finishing standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time management skills and ability to meet repair deadlines.
Awareness of health and safety procedures in a body shop environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical Diploma or Vocational Training in Automotive or related field.
Certification in Automotive Body Repair preferred.
Minimum 3 years of related automotive body repair experience.
