The Baker will prepare different types of bread and a wide range of baking goods, like cookies, cakes and pies, mixing dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries using creative techniques. He will ensure to offer fresh and delicious baked goods to our customers on a daily basis.
Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to:
1. Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use.
2. Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough.
3. Bake different bread types, like pretzels, baguettes and multigrain breads.
4. Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking.
5. Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits).
6. Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls.
7. Track food supplies and place orders, as needed.
8. Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
9. Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
10. Monitor stocks for bakingingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
11. Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for baking.
12. Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safetyhazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately.
13. Able to recognize superior quality products, presentations and flavors.
14. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
15. Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
16. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
17. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in all areas of the kitchen.
18. Awareness of the requirements issued by the MOPH when preparing and delivering foods.
19. Ensure compliance with the restaurants’ security, health, and safety in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations in Qatar.
20. Ensure to follow Qatar shelf-life standards.
Skills:
· Exceptional level of baking process.
· Strong knowledge in food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential.
· Positively spirited and passionate about food.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
· Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays).
· Ability to communicate well in English.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Committed to work with the service team to deliver an amazing guest experience.
