The Restaurant Manager is responsible for scheduling shifts of the restaurant staff and ensuring that all the employees carry out their duties efficiently. He will be monitoring daily restaurant operations, expenses and revenues which includes proper coordination of making orders for the restaurant supplies, and being able to oversee the maintenance and repair of the restaurant equipment. He will also be responsible for ensuring that the food health and safety regulations are strictly followed.
Ultimately, he will help to increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our restaurant into a favorite local spot.

Functions:
Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to:
1. Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
2. Prepare weekly work schedules for staff and find suitable replacement in case of the staff absence.
3. Conduct orientation and training to all the staff for the rules and regulations, leadership structure throughout the restaurant (chain of command), safety regulations and etiquette, legal issues, computer hardware and software, and the restaurant operations.
4. Train the staff for restaurant operating procedures and proper use of restaurant equipment.
5. Ensure proper inventory and coordinate with the person in-charge to order restaurant supplies.
6. Receive delivered restaurant supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
7. Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses.
8. Coordinate with the Executive Chef to add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences and feedback.
9. Advise all the staff on the best ways to resolve issues with customers and deliver excellent customer service.
10. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant.
11. Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost the restaurants’ reputation.
12. Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.
13. Set performance objectives to evaluate staff performance, while providing spot corrections and continuous feedback.
14. Ensure compliance with the restaurant security, health, and safety in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations in Qatar.
15. Awareness of the health and safety requirements when preparing and delivering foods issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
16. Knowledge of the registration process of food-stuff and approval process for the foodstuff labelling. Ensure that the product labelling and marking requirements are met to avoid rejection from the Ministry of Public Health system.
17. Ensure to follow Qatar shelf-life standards.
18. Coordinate with the HR Department on the application and renewal of the restaurant legal documents and the staff Food Handling Certificates.
19. Coordinate the recruitment/hiring, promotion, disciplinary and termination process for all the restaurant staff.
20. Create and propose posts, ideas to promote our products on the Instagram and the other social media daily and add the necessary comments with the assistance of Marketing Department.
21. Achieve and exceed the restaurant sales target.
22. Provide weekly reports including a summary of daily tasks, staff performance and sales results.
23. Make sure that the staff is present and on time in the restaurant.
24. Maintain a courteous attitude when communicating with co-workers or subordinates.
25. Ensure that your staff has a fair and accurate leave plan every year. In high and low seasons, the restaurant operation should run smoothly, and overlap should be avoided.
26. Make sure the staff does not disclose or transmit any confidential or trade secret information, or proprietary information, about the company and its subsidiaries, or about the company owners, including their names, occupations and contact information to any third parties.
27. Provide detailed explanations of the memos to ensure that all the staff understand our company policies, benefits program, and the rules governing the daily conduct of employees as well as the responsibilities, and ensure that these guidelines guide them throughout their employment with the company.
28. Ensure that your staff appearance is appropriate to the workplace and the work they do.
29. Ensure that all the staff are wearing the company-provided uniforms at all times in the restaurant.
30. Make sure that all the staff are wearing their name tags at all times in the restaurant.
31. Report to the Human Resources Department of any violation occurring in the restaurant so that an appropriate disciplinary action can be taken.

Skills:
· Good knowledge and experience with food delivery service providers.
· Experience in food delivery orders through online delivery agencies and in-house delivery.
· Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays).
· Excellent management and leadership skills.
· Effective communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate the team.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
· Must be enthusiastic and has a passion for coffee and customer service.
