Job Description
RAN L2 Engineer is responsible for all network operations, fault management, performance management, routine maintenance and change management related to Radio Access Networks.
With us you will be responsible to ensure the best of service availability, performance and quality assurance of the network. The role will be performed during the business hours and working in on call rota to support out of office hours technology incidents
Operation & maintenance of all Huawei and Nokia RAN network elements including – Integration, fault, configuration and change management and performing maintenance activities such as network health, performance checks and auditing of configuration and alarms
Support L1 for analysis of technical problems and degradation of RAN KPIs, segregation of problem due to core network, which include E2E tracing at all BSS interfaces, timely response to all service request
Interface with L3 and R&D and support other function to find Root Cause analysis for the all issues and outages
Perform schedule system maintenance, backups and license and software updates
Ensure closure of all risk assessments and potential business impacts
Respond quickly and effectively to resolve various trouble tickets and customer complaints
Escalate and Notify the management and other business Implementation of service units informed during system outages
Skills
Apply if you have..
Bachelor degree in Electronics/Telecommunication
Min 6 to 10 years of experience in RAN operation and maintenance with telecom Vendors or Operators – min of 3 years on Huawei platform
In depth knowledge on 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies and experience in daily O&M activities such as site integration, reconfiguration and expansion, configuration changes, RF parameter tuning and depth knowledge on all Huawei applications and network elements elements – U2000, PRS, CME, SON, OSMU, SRAN, BSC, RNC, BTS, NodeB, eNobeB & gNodeB
Good knowledge on all core network elements and associations with ePC, MME, SGW, MSC, MGW, SGSN, IP Sec etc.
Depth knowledge on protocols (RRC, RANAP, RLC, NBAP, DTAP, NAS, BSSAP etc) and Interfaces (Abis, A, Iur, Iub, IuCs/Ps, X2, S1 etc) also good knowledge on all major RAN counters and KPIs
